It's been a while.

Wow. Time sure does disappear when you have a toddler. And an almost teen. And those energetic elementary kids. So, what have we done over the past two years?

Well, Batman, now 12, completed his first year of middle school. He got pretty darn good grades and played the bass in the 6th grade orchestra. The biggest instrument he could choose. Which is fun in our little house. He got to play flag football this spring and loved it. He'll be playing again in the fall.

Robin, now 10, is progressing through school and thriving on his IEP.  He'll start his final year of elementary school in a few weeks. I'm not sure I'm ready. He also played flag football this spring and will join Batman's team in the fall. He got his ears pierced this summer and looks pretty darn cool. (Cool enough that Batman wants to get his done).

Batgirl, now 8, is growing up way too fast. She enjoys being in Girl Scouts and bridged to Brownies last summer. She had her first overnight camp out this summer.  She likes school well enough, but really enjoyed her Tumbling classes - but I think she got burnt out. She's decided to give Tennis a try this fall. I hope she gives Tumbling another chance in the future - she's really good at it.

The Joker turned 2 this Spring. He's a bunch of fun, and has the most gorgeous curls. He's pretty clingy. Makes it hard to get stuff done, or even have time to myself. He also hasn't gotten to the point of being away from us, like in the church nursery or having a babysitter. But, we'll get there.  He loves Bluey, Cars and Finding Nemo.

The cats are all doing well. Petoskey has chosen me as her person and doesn't willingly interact with anyone else. Although, she will sit for Joker to pet her as long as I'm there. Pepper is still rather shy, but can be found perched on the back of the couch a lot of the time. Spencer is probably the most outgoing of the cats, with the family at least. He'll talk to us and beg for pets. It's adorable. Guster, I believe, is trying to take over the house. He always manages to plop his not unsubstantial self exactly where was want to sit. He will accept pets for a while from most of us. But he does not like Joker and will swipe at him if he's in paws reach. However, when there are guests, he will stroll through the crowd rubbing up against everyone, pretending to be starved of attention.
